Genomic DNA was prepared from a number of different tissues using the JETQUICK Tissue DNA Spin Kit. Aliquots were applied on a 1% TAE agarose gel. Lane 1 and 8 show the lambda HindIII/EcoRI length standard. Other lanes: Bovine liver DNA (lane 2), Bovine spleen DNA (lane 3), Bovine pancreas DNA (lane 4), pig kidney DNA (lane 5), pig spleen DNA (lane 6) and chicken liver DNA (lane 7).   Bovine liver DNA was prepared using the JETQUICK Tissue DNA Spin Kit. Aliquots of 20ng DNA were applied to PCR assays to amplify different fragments of the 28S rRNA-gene. Lane 1 and 8 show the GIBCO BRL 100bp ladder. The amplified fragments are in length 895bp (lane 2), 192bp (lane 3), 1378bp (lane 4), 541bp (lane 5), 3173bp (lane 6) and 322bp (lane 7). Aliquots were run on a 1% TAE agarose gel.
